Narrative:
During landing rollout, nose gear collapsed. No action by pilot contributed to collapse. Gear was checked down on short final - green light, approximately 800-900' after touchdown. Pilot action limited to control of aircraft on runway (to keep aircraft on runway through use of brakes). Since aircraft engine was at idle and ground speed was approximately 40-45 KIAS, there was no real danger. Damage limited to propeller and body work. Engine will also be torn down to check for damaged.

Title: PLT OF SMA LNDG AT MQJ HAS NOSE GEAR COLLAPSE ON LNDG ROLLOUT.
Narrative: DURING LNDG ROLLOUT, NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED. NO ACTION BY PLT CONTRIBUTED TO COLLAPSE. GEAR WAS CHECKED DOWN ON SHORT FINAL - GREEN LIGHT, APPROX 800-900' AFTER TOUCHDOWN. PLT ACTION LIMITED TO CONTROL OF ACFT ON RWY (TO KEEP ACFT ON RWY THROUGH USE OF BRAKES). SINCE ACFT ENGINE WAS AT IDLE AND GND SPEED WAS APPROX 40-45 KIAS, THERE WAS NO REAL DANGER.
