Narrative:
Informed by flight attendant that aft door was opened by agent meeting the aircraft while aft door was still showing that the slide was armed - orange band across window. Luckily door was already disarmed. I spoke to agent about the issue and danger of this. She claimed that [contract] personnel opened the door. I went up and spoke to them regarding the danger of this and potential deadly hazard. [Contract] supervisor pointed out it was the first day for the ramper who opened door. This indicates to me a serious flaw with training ramp personnel regarding safety.
