Narrative:

Taxiing to gate we were told to give way to outbound aircraft and then cleared in. Aircraft was configured per SOP; APU off; #2 engine shut down. As we came to a stop short of RF; I depressed the brakes and reached for the parking brake lever and inadvertently started closing the #1 fuel lever. By the time I realized my mistake; the engine had already started shutting down. The aircraft was powered down to the battery with no additional generator available. I started the APU and subsequently restarted the #1 engine. The aircraft was on battery power for several minutes while waiting for nds and pfds to power up. We then taxied to the gate.
