Narrative:
While en route from bwi to lake front in cleveland we were getting flight following through the flight balance-wash center, cle, etc. Cle asked us where our destination was. We then told them 'lake front.' (lake front and cle area approximately 5 mi apart.) cle said 'expect radar vector to the final.' they then asked if we had an medium large transport or large transport insight at 1 O'clock and 10 mi. I then replied 'contact.' cle said 'keep your speed up and follow him in, you have an large transport following you.' I said 'roger,' at which time I saw lake front under us, and realized that we were being vectored to the other airport. I then called cle and said that we were going to the other airport and apologized. He said 'no problem, right turn 360 degrees, squawk 1200, frequency change approved to lake front tower, and have a good day.' I then called lake front tower and said '5 northeast inbound.' they said 'contact cle approach on (xxxxx).' I said 'roger.' cle gave me a squawk and said contact lake front tower. When I landed, ground said 'give a call.' I did--they wanted my name and certificate #. After giving them what they wanted I called cle TRACON and they said they would call tower.
