Narrative:
A380 landed runway 24L and exited at taxiway Z and turned right on twy east westbound for the bridge route. B747; holding in position on rwy 24L. After A380 cleared the runway I gave takeoff clearance to B747. After he departed I was told I couldn't have a design group 6 aircraft on east west of D9 with a design group 6 departure. Not sure who reported it as I was told after it happened. I thought the design group 6 departure rule only applied to A380 aircraft. My local assist should receive no blame as it was my call to launch my departure without knowing the rule - it falls squarely on me.this is my second incident with a B747 in the past month. I know I need to know the rules. That being said; the restriction chart we have is extremely detailed. Also; they aren't at all the positions for ready reference - they need to be at each position. Runway 24R is closed so design group 6 are landing runway 24L which hasn't been a normal procedure so I need to ensure I review the rules each and every day.
