Narrative:
ZID 134.67 failed to switch us to an atl center frequency. We relayed through another air carrier back to ZID and got a good ATC frequency 133.35. Made contact with ATC 60 NM south of atl on 789. We discovered the problem when we heard the other air carrier flight talking to ZID and we could not hear ZID talk back.
