Narrative:

Upon descent from altitude, I noticed my electric trim wasn't functioning. I attempted to engage trim annunciator. By this time I had arrived at airport. Another aircraft was approaching from the west but was much slower. I announced a x-field turn and then entered downwind ahead of the slower aircraft. During this time I had begun to slow with application of flaps. Upon entering downwind I began looking for other aircraft. I started through base and into final, and as a result of having been preoccupied with the electric trim and other aircraft events, I forgot to both gump and follow the checklist, and made a very smooth landing west/O benefit of wheels.
