Captain informed me via phone; that while still preflighting the aircraft; the #2 engine caught on fire. Captain blew fire bottle; then blew the second bottle. He had passengers (about 16 through) evacuate the aircraft through the forward entry door. Fire department was called.

Title: B737 First Officer is informed by the Captain via cell phone while preflighting the exterior that the number two engine had caught on fire and both fire bottles had been discharged.
Narrative: Captain informed me via phone; that while still preflighting the aircraft; the #2 engine caught on fire. Captain blew fire bottle; then blew the second bottle. He had passengers (about 16 through) evacuate the aircraft through the forward entry door. Fire department was called.
