Narrative:
Was cleared for an approach, then center came back approximately 1 min after clearance was issued and issued a holding clearance at lynns intersection. We asked why the hold was issued and stated we wanted to continue the approach part 91. He then cleared us again. We broke out approximately 51 DME and 1600', well above minimums.

Narrative: WAS CLRED FOR AN APCH, THEN CENTER CAME BACK APPROX 1 MIN AFTER CLRNC WAS ISSUED AND ISSUED A HOLDING CLRNC AT LYNNS INTXN. WE ASKED WHY THE HOLD WAS ISSUED AND STATED WE WANTED TO CONTINUE THE APCH PART 91. HE THEN CLRED US AGAIN. WE BROKE OUT APPROX 51 DME AND 1600', WELL ABOVE MINIMUMS.
