Narrative:
Smoke alarm in right aft lavatory went off in flight. Flight attendant immediately opened lavatory door while passenger was flushing lavatory and smelled the fumes from an electronic cigarette. Flight attendant confirmed there was no fire in the lavatory and informed cockpit. Smoke alarm could not be silenced. We accomplished the lavatory alarm false activation checklist. Alarm was reset. We all reviewed the level one threat security procedure. Flight landed uneventfully. Dispatch and maintenance were informed and the ground security and law enforcement met the flight.

Title: B737 flight crew experiences a lavatory smoke alarm in flight. A flight attendant immediately called the cockpit to inform that a passenger had been discovered smoking an electronic cigarette in the lavatory.
