Aircraft was given a clearance through rks radio. But his discrete bcn code had timed out of the center computer and was not listed on the flight plan strip--so when the aircraft departed no track was started and the aircraft entered ZDV west/O a handoff on a limited data block.

Title: ACFT ENTERED ADJACENT FAC AIRSPACE WITHOUT A HANDOFF.
Narrative: ACFT WAS GIVEN A CLRNC THROUGH RKS RADIO. BUT HIS DISCRETE BCN CODE HAD TIMED OUT OF THE CENTER COMPUTER AND WAS NOT LISTED ON THE FLT PLAN STRIP--SO WHEN THE ACFT DEPARTED NO TRACK WAS STARTED AND THE ACFT ENTERED ZDV W/O A HDOF ON A LIMITED DATA BLOCK.
