Narrative:
Nxx tower did not advise me of an small transport off 33 climbing to 1500' and turning sebnd. I was wbound at 1500'. When I saw this camouflaged small transport, previously hidden by my aircraft door structure, it seemed advisable to descend right then, which I advised nxx tower. By sep standards amongst helicopter's in nyc, this was a non event--but after an apology (unsolicited) from nxx tower, I got the impression the tower or the small transport (xx helicopter communicating on UHF spectrum, which I couldn't hear) pilot was not happy with the situation. I figured it wise to submit this report.
