Narrative:

Captain was hurrying our departure from abe-bwi in order to make a close connection for his commute home. About 200' from the hold short, runway 24, I contacted tower for IFR, but was told to hold short for landing medium large transport on 2-MI final. I looked and spotted an air carrier medium large transport rolling onto a short final. I expected to have to wait 1-2 mins for the medium large transport to clear the runway, so I began a lengthy passenger announcement. Just as I began the passenger announcement, captain asked the tower for an immediate takeoff. I was surprised when we began taxiing onto the runway, as I couldn't hear the tower's reply, but I hadn't expected to be cleared in front of the medium large transport. The captain advanced power and ran through the checklist, completing as we lifted off. Tower called traffic on runway 13, and I saw an small transport converging with our flight path. I held the yoke forward, telling the captain to level off. We passed 200-300' below the small aircraft. It was not clear to me whether we had been cleared erroneously or had taken off west/O clearance, but a hazardous situation had been created by the captain's preoccupation with expediting departure.

Title: CLOSE PROX COMMUTER-MDT GA-SMT, BOTH ON TKOF FROM INTERSECTING RWYS.

Narrative: CAPT WAS HURRYING OUR DEP FROM ABE-BWI IN ORDER TO MAKE A CLOSE CONNECTION FOR HIS COMMUTE HOME. ABOUT 200' FROM THE HOLD SHORT, RWY 24, I CONTACTED TWR FOR IFR, BUT WAS TOLD TO HOLD SHORT FOR LNDG MLG ON 2-MI FINAL. I LOOKED AND SPOTTED AN ACR MLG ROLLING ONTO A SHORT FINAL. I EXPECTED TO HAVE TO WAIT 1-2 MINS FOR THE MLG TO CLR THE RWY, SO I BEGAN A LENGTHY PAX ANNOUNCEMENT. JUST AS I BEGAN THE PAX ANNOUNCEMENT, CAPT ASKED THE TWR FOR AN IMMEDIATE TKOF. I WAS SURPRISED WHEN WE BEGAN TAXIING ONTO THE RWY, AS I COULDN'T HEAR THE TWR'S REPLY, BUT I HADN'T EXPECTED TO BE CLRED IN FRONT OF THE MLG. THE CAPT ADVANCED PWR AND RAN THROUGH THE CHKLIST, COMPLETING AS WE LIFTED OFF. TWR CALLED TFC ON RWY 13, AND I SAW AN SMT CONVERGING WITH OUR FLT PATH. I HELD THE YOKE FORWARD, TELLING THE CAPT TO LEVEL OFF. WE PASSED 200-300' BELOW THE SMA. IT WAS NOT CLR TO ME WHETHER WE HAD BEEN CLRED ERRONEOUSLY OR HAD TAKEN OFF W/O CLRNC, BUT A HAZARDOUS SITUATION HAD BEEN CREATED BY THE CAPT'S PREOCCUPATION WITH EXPEDITING DEP.
