Narrative:

On a long descending approach I had overridden the gear warning horn, but the red warning light remained on. (Throttle cycling re-sets the horn.) on a 5 mi 'straight in' 3 aircraft were approaching the runway in moderate turbulence. Aircraft 1 ahead of me was told by the tower to discontinue his approach and lose some altitude over a designated area. My aircraft, 2, was now cleared to land and on final. Aircraft 3 was following me but did not have me in sight. On short final the turbulence stopped and the wind was calm. Without adding power I executed a normal approach and touched down, to discover that I had neglected to perform the landing checklist due to distraction. I landed with the nose wheel in the retracted position.

Title: INEXPERIENCED PLT IN SMA LANDS GEAR UP.

Narrative: ON A LONG DESCENDING APCH I HAD OVERRIDDEN THE GEAR WARNING HORN, BUT THE RED WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ON. (THROTTLE CYCLING RE-SETS THE HORN.) ON A 5 MI 'STRAIGHT IN' 3 ACFT WERE APCHING THE RWY IN MODERATE TURBULENCE. ACFT 1 AHEAD OF ME WAS TOLD BY THE TWR TO DISCONTINUE HIS APCH AND LOSE SOME ALT OVER A DESIGNATED AREA. MY ACFT, 2, WAS NOW CLRED TO LAND AND ON FINAL. ACFT 3 WAS FOLLOWING ME BUT DID NOT HAVE ME IN SIGHT. ON SHORT FINAL THE TURBULENCE STOPPED AND THE WIND WAS CALM. WITHOUT ADDING POWER I EXECUTED A NORMAL APCH AND TOUCHED DOWN, TO DISCOVER THAT I HAD NEGLECTED TO PERFORM THE LNDG CHECKLIST DUE TO DISTR. I LANDED WITH THE NOSE WHEEL IN THE RETRACTED POSITION.
