Narrative:
Left friedman memorial airport (sun) about evening local time to fly a friend to kansas city int'l (mci). Arrived at mci. After refueling took off for home base johnson county industrial airport (ixd). Arriving at ixd night time. On approach to ixd was assigned right traffic pattern to runway 35. The first approach was a little tight so I elected to go around. My intention was to leave the gear down but must have retracted the gear automatically as I aborted the landing. On the second approach my attention was on making smooth approach to the runway. During the flare for the landing as the aircraft started to settle I heard the flaps scrape the runway. I immediately pulled back on the control column simultaneously applying power. The aircraft ballooned up, I put the landing gear down, reduced power and landed. On inspection of the aircraft after shutdown, the propeller tips of all 6 blades were bent and the inboard 1 inch of the flaps were worn to a depth of 1/2 inch. Factors affecting quality of performance were: long day, followed by night flight, pilot fatigue, and break in normal approach procedure.
