Narrative:
Arrived on aircraft at xa:15 and smelled odor equivalent to oil. As soon as we took off it worsened and captain called us to tell us we were diverting because of the odor and they had donned their oxygen. We were on the aircraft for over an hour before we were able to get off and smell fresh air. I have since been experiencing painful headaches and dizziness. This happened one other time to me on an A319 but I recovered in 3 days. This time I am not rebounding as quickly. Since we smelled such a strong oil smell before we took off I was real surprised we left our departure airport.
