Narrative:

Prior to pushback I received a hazardous material (hazmat) notification via ACARS printer that said we had 350 lbs of lithium ion batteries onboard embedded in equipment shown as computers and cellphones. I contacted dispatch and they patched me through to the hazmat specialist. Hazmat specialist said all they showed was 'miscellaneous hazmat' onboard with no mention of lithium ion batteries. I ordered all of the batteries removed. Ops had the cargo containing the lithium ion batteries removed and we departed uneventfully.
