Narrative:
During takeoff; the aft entry door annunciator illuminated; I initiated the reject at 74 knots. The aircraft was allowed to roll to; and exit on the next appropriate taxiway. After the QRH was accomplished; I made a PA to inform the crew and passengers. Did a brake cooling calculation (no brake cooling required); then called the flight attendant's to ask them to cycle the door handle. Once they did; the door annunciator extinguished. A logbook entry was made; but I failed to contact dispatch per the event reporting requirements table. The assistant chief pilot; subsequently called and pointed out my omission. I thank him for his professionalism.
