Narrative:
The recent update to [the ipad] has removed the ability of the pilot to rapidly access the flight manual. By removing the 'four horizontal lines' prompt' in the upper right of the ipad screen it is no longer possible to access a 'table of contents' for the flight manual. This means that the pilot must manually sort through the 2;230 pages of the flight manual in order to find the desired material. This renders the ipad useless as an electronic fight bag.
