Narrative:
During the taxi out to runway 28R at N5; I noticed how horrible the taxiways have become at ord. Our taxi took us down B to N2 to north to N5 for takeoff on 28R. It was dark and I only had my limited taxi light working. I had so many potholes come up all of a sudden requiring me to brake quickly or try and taxi around them that I was swinging my flight attendants around during their takeoff demo. I even tried to slow to a crawl as I made my way over the constant potholes and poor patch work holes but even then I was banging and bouncing all over the place. These taxiways were easily the worst taxiways I've seen at any airport anywhere in a while. Ord needs to repave or at least repatch up those taxiways to keep us from hitting pot hole after pothole on taxi out. Based on the undulating and bubbled cement on all the taxiways; I think just repaving them would be the best option.
