Narrative:
At cruise altitude of FL350 ATC reported moderate turbulence ahead between FL330 and FL290. FL270 recommended as a good altitude. I turned on the 'fasten seat belt sign'; and made a PA to be seated. The first officer began descent to FL270. During the descent I made a PA for the flight attendants to be seated. After leveling at FL270 for about 5 minutes and with a smooth ride I phoned flight attendants to resume duties but left the seat belt sign on.at xa:51 encountered severe turbulence at FL270 with a duration of 15 seconds. After event number one flight attendant reported three injuries. Two flight attendants and one passenger who was in the aft lavatory. Decision made to continue to destination. Medical personnel met flight and attended to the three who were involved.
