Narrative:

Before takeoff all hydraulic indications and operations were normal. On takeoff when landing gear was retracted the green hydraulic level dropped to the point where 'level low' light and 'pressure low' light appeared. Landing gear was retracted normally without any complications and green hydraulics returned to the normal indications. Once in cruise flight at 29,000', southwest of las vegas, the green hydraulics dropped below the caution point. All checklists were completed and then proceeded back to los angeles. Fuel was dumped to maximum landing weight. On landing approach all checklists were completed and the green hydraulics level were in the normal range. Knowing that with landing gear extension there would be an increase of the hydraulic level, the system was turned on and the landing gear was extended normally, green hydraulics were in normal range. Landing was made normal and proceeded back to gate.

Title: HYDRAULIC SYSTEM GAVE UNUSUAL INDICATIONS DURING TKOF BUT RETURNED TO NORMAL. AT CRUISE, HYDRAULIC QUANTITY DROPPED. RETURN LAND.

Narrative: BEFORE TKOF ALL HYDRAULIC INDICATIONS AND OPERATIONS WERE NORMAL. ON TKOF WHEN LNDG GEAR WAS RETRACTED THE GREEN HYDRAULIC LEVEL DROPPED TO THE POINT WHERE 'LEVEL LOW' LIGHT AND 'PRESSURE LOW' LIGHT APPEARED. LNDG GEAR WAS RETRACTED NORMALLY WITHOUT ANY COMPLICATIONS AND GREEN HYDRAULICS RETURNED TO THE NORMAL INDICATIONS. ONCE IN CRUISE FLT AT 29,000', SW OF LAS VEGAS, THE GREEN HYDRAULICS DROPPED BELOW THE CAUTION POINT. ALL CHECKLISTS WERE COMPLETED AND THEN PROCEEDED BACK TO LOS ANGELES. FUEL WAS DUMPED TO MAX LNDG WEIGHT. ON LNDG APCH ALL CHECKLISTS WERE COMPLETED AND THE GREEN HYDRAULICS LEVEL WERE IN THE NORMAL RANGE. KNOWING THAT WITH LNDG GEAR EXTENSION THERE WOULD BE AN INCREASE OF THE HYDRAULIC LEVEL, THE SYSTEM WAS TURNED ON AND THE LNDG GEAR WAS EXTENDED NORMALLY, GREEN HYDRAULICS WERE IN NORMAL RANGE. LNDG WAS MADE NORMAL AND PROCEEDED BACK TO GATE.
