Narrative:
After departing bos at about 8000' (destination msp), F/a called cockpit to notify us of an aft galley fire. Second officer turned off the galley power and F/a's used halon to extinguish fire. We returned immediately to bos west/O further incident. WX was clear. 11000 pounds of fuel dumped. Landing was not over gross weight.

Title: GALLEY FIRE REPORTED BY CABIN ATTENDANT CAUSES LGT TO RETURN AND LAND.
Narrative: AFTER DEPARTING BOS AT ABOUT 8000' (DEST MSP), F/A CALLED COCKPIT TO NOTIFY US OF AN AFT GALLEY FIRE. S/O TURNED OFF THE GALLEY PWR AND F/A'S USED HALON TO EXTINGUISH FIRE. WE RETURNED IMMEDIATELY TO BOS W/O FURTHER INCIDENT. WX WAS CLEAR. 11000 LBS OF FUEL DUMPED. LNDG WAS NOT OVER GROSS WT.
