Narrative:
I had landed on inland lake and was fishing. I was going closer to cottage for lunch. While taxiing front wheel went in hole, tipping forward. Propeller struck ice. Changed propeller and flew home to orchard park, ny. Someone on shore saw plane tipped up and thought it crashed and called rescue squad. I had to call sheriff and explain what happened and they notified FAA. Fellow who helped with propeller didn't give me anything in writing--said he would sign logs when I returned propeller. FAA called me at home and asked for medical. It ran out 11/xx/89. Doctor out of town, examination is 1/xy/90, 5 days after expire. FAA wants copy of medical and copy of propeller work entered in log book. I told this to mechanic when I took propeller back and he said he wouldn't sign log for fear he'd get into trouble. I will send both medical certificates--old and new.
