Narrative:
This is 2ND of 2 reports. Low time, less than 300 hour in type, new captain flying. Cleared for civet profile descent, FMC programmed with crossing restrictions. Captain displayed lack of knowledge and in discussions about prior display of very poor knowledge, captain voiced lack of trust of 'computer magic'. I tried, to no avail, to impart confidence with explanation of areas of concern to captain. Captain continually selected a/T speed via button rather than VNAV override speed/window knob, continually disengaging VNAV. I warned captain each time that descent and control would not be performed by autoplt. Aircraft hit limit altitude in fl/ch, captain altitude/hold and flew away from profile as I warned captain it would. He flew whole profile above published altitudes at arnes, suzzy, etc. Later tracking 24R ILS we were cleared to 25L. Captain never disconnected autoplt, selected and pushed heading button for assigned vector, but aircraft tracked without turning as autoplt disconnection is required after ILS capture in order to rearm. I believe but am not certain captain may have disconnected and reengaged immediately without chance of switch-over as aircraft flew north of magenta LNAV track, never turned to selected heading and was observed by me north of LNAV, north of raw data 25L ILS autoplt on but not annunciated in command mode. Captain was informed by me that autoplt was not flying aircraft when ATC asked if we were turning to track 25L ILS. We were in turn by then but were well north of 25L and due to WX and frequency south/west, position relative 24R was unknown.

Title: ACR LGT ALT DEVIATION UNDERSHOT ALT CROSSING RESTRICTIONS NOT MET ON PROFILE DESCENT.
Narrative: THIS IS 2ND OF 2 REPORTS. LOW TIME, LESS THAN 300 HR IN TYPE, NEW CAPT FLYING. CLRED FOR CIVET PROFILE DSCNT, FMC PROGRAMMED WITH XING RESTRICTIONS. CAPT DISPLAYED LACK OF KNOWLEDGE AND IN DISCUSSIONS ABOUT PRIOR DISPLAY OF VERY POOR KNOWLEDGE, CAPT VOICED LACK OF TRUST OF 'COMPUTER MAGIC'. I TRIED, TO NO AVAIL, TO IMPART CONFIDENCE WITH EXPLANATION OF AREAS OF CONCERN TO CAPT. CAPT CONTINUALLY SELECTED A/T SPEED VIA BUTTON RATHER THAN VNAV OVERRIDE SPEED/WINDOW KNOB, CONTINUALLY DISENGAGING VNAV. I WARNED CAPT EACH TIME THAT DSCNT AND CONTROL WOULD NOT BE PERFORMED BY AUTOPLT. ACFT HIT LIMIT ALT IN FL/CH, CAPT ALT/HOLD AND FLEW AWAY FROM PROFILE AS I WARNED CAPT IT WOULD. HE FLEW WHOLE PROFILE ABOVE PUBLISHED ALTS AT ARNES, SUZZY, ETC. LATER TRACKING 24R ILS WE WERE CLRED TO 25L. CAPT NEVER DISCONNECTED AUTOPLT, SELECTED AND PUSHED HDG BUTTON FOR ASSIGNED VECTOR, BUT ACFT TRACKED WITHOUT TURNING AS AUTOPLT DISCONNECTION IS REQUIRED AFTER ILS CAPTURE IN ORDER TO REARM. I BELIEVE BUT AM NOT CERTAIN CAPT MAY HAVE DISCONNECTED AND REENGAGED IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT CHANCE OF SWITCH-OVER AS ACFT FLEW N OF MAGENTA LNAV TRACK, NEVER TURNED TO SELECTED HDG AND WAS OBSERVED BY ME N OF LNAV, N OF RAW DATA 25L ILS AUTOPLT ON BUT NOT ANNUNCIATED IN COMMAND MODE. CAPT WAS INFORMED BY ME THAT AUTOPLT WAS NOT FLYING ACFT WHEN ATC ASKED IF WE WERE TURNING TO TRACK 25L ILS. WE WERE IN TURN BY THEN BUT WERE WELL N OF 25L AND DUE TO WX AND FREQ S/W, POSITION RELATIVE 24R WAS UNKNOWN.
