Narrative:
This is a specific report of something that happens frequently: I file IFR with FSS. I receive my clearance from the departure facility. At that time the destination airport is correct. When I am handed off to the approach control facility, they think that I am landing at a different airport than the one that I have filed to. In this case, the coast approach control said 'expect vectors to the runway 19 ILS.' since I was landing at long beach, which does not have a runway 19, I said, 'aircraft identification is landing long beach.' the controller said, 'I show you landing at orange county.' interestingly, I can't remember this ever happening with a two-to-tower IFR clearance. It seems to happen more with FSS/center filings. The previous time it happened was on a flight to 76S (oak harbor airpark). The controller thought I was landing at olympia, probably because that was the last VOR on my filed/cleared route.

Title: GA PLT COMPLAINT ABOUT FLT PLANNING HANDLING FORWARDING BY FSS.
Narrative: THIS IS A SPECIFIC REPORT OF SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY: I FILE IFR WITH FSS. I RECEIVE MY CLRNC FROM THE DEP FAC. AT THAT TIME THE DEST ARPT IS CORRECT. WHEN I AM HANDED OFF TO THE APCH CTL FAC, THEY THINK THAT I AM LNDG AT A DIFFERENT ARPT THAN THE ONE THAT I HAVE FILED TO. IN THIS CASE, THE COAST APCH CTL SAID 'EXPECT VECTORS TO THE RWY 19 ILS.' SINCE I WAS LNDG AT LONG BEACH, WHICH DOES NOT HAVE A RWY 19, I SAID, 'ACFT ID IS LNDG LONG BEACH.' THE CTLR SAID, 'I SHOW YOU LNDG AT ORANGE COUNTY.' INTERESTINGLY, I CAN'T REMEMBER THIS EVER HAPPENING WITH A TWO-TO-TWR IFR CLRNC. IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN MORE WITH FSS/CENTER FILINGS. THE PREVIOUS TIME IT HAPPENED WAS ON A FLT TO 76S (OAK HARBOR AIRPARK). THE CTLR THOUGHT I WAS LNDG AT OLYMPIA, PROBABLY BECAUSE THAT WAS THE LAST VOR ON MY FILED/CLRED ROUTE.
