Narrative:

First officer flying. 4 overcast 2R-F. Departure lga 3 runway 13 (whitestone climb), turn right, climb on a 175 degree heading until 1500' or lga 3 NM DME, whichever is sooner, then turn left to an 040 degree heading. The above procedure was accomplished, however the noise abatement procedure limits the bank angle to 150 degrees until the 1.5 vs speed is achieved above 3000' AGL. This procedure would produce approximately 1 2.5 NM turn radius. Departure control questioned our position as it related to his assigned airspace. No conflict was reported.

Narrative: F/O FLYING. 4 OVCST 2R-F. DEP LGA 3 RWY 13 (WHITESTONE CLB), TURN RIGHT, CLB ON A 175 DEG HDG UNTIL 1500' OR LGA 3 NM DME, WHICHEVER IS SOONER, THEN TURN LEFT TO AN 040 DEG HDG. THE ABOVE PROC WAS ACCOMPLISHED, HOWEVER THE NOISE ABATEMENT PROC LIMITS THE BANK ANGLE TO 150 DEGS UNTIL THE 1.5 VS SPD IS ACHIEVED ABOVE 3000' AGL. THIS PROC WOULD PRODUCE APPROX 1 2.5 NM TURN RADIUS. DEP CTL QUESTIONED OUR POS AS IT RELATED TO HIS ASSIGNED AIRSPACE. NO CONFLICT WAS RPTED.
