Narrative:
After being cleared for a visual approach to runway 14R at oma; while on a wide left base leg; we were notified of air carrier traffic to follow. After searching for them and slowing (configuring for speed change) a visual descent maneuver was initiated toward the runway which was in sight since about 20 NM from the airport. The aircraft egpws alerted us 'obstacle' 'pull up'; and a tower (1807 MSL) on the final approach course was immediately seen by both pilots and avoided by initiating a climb from around 2100 MSL to 2400 MSL. We were configured; on-speed; and stable by 1000 ft AGL; and a normal landing followed. There was no mention of anything out of the ordinary from ATC.
