Narrative:
In battery shop there was 6 batteries on the work table. Each battery was about 4 inches apart; I reached over top of battery to pull closer to my work and heard a pop and small flame across the top of battery cell tops. I stopped the charge cycle and put the fire out; discharged battery and shorted. Started cycle on next battery. Would like to see more ventilation under chargers better ventilation in shop. No air conditioning incoming from air handling duct.
