Narrative:
After takeoff; ATC advised there was excessive fluid gushing out from the right side of the aircraft. Immediately we got a hydraulic lo pres caution on the number 2 engine driven pump. We climbed to 8;000 feet and went through the QRH and decided to return to the airport. Dispatch was notified as well as operations. Flight attendants and passengers were briefed of the incident prior to landing. On landing we were met with the fire trucks. Fire marshall inspected the aircraft once we came to a stop on the runway. He advised us there was no visible damage nor fluid leaks that could cause a fire and we decided to taxi to the gate. We deplaned and contacted maintenance control.
