Narrative:
I was flying in IMC conditions and encountered turbulence at 7;000 feet. I was cleared to 9;000 feet to avoid turbulence. I was climbing through 8;500 feet when I encountered severe turbulence. I lost control of the aircraft and descended to 5;600 before regaining control of the aircraft.
