Narrative:
Flight from mci-phx, copilot was on landing rollout when tower called up and asked us to make next available turnoff at C-5 on runway 26L. We were 80 KIAS indicated when I exited the high-speed turnoff as requested. As the copilot switched over to ground, the ground controller was issuing an immediate right turn to avoid the medium large transport X. My copilot hollered 'watch out', as he applied full braking with me. Our airplane came to a complete stop on the taxi line of the parallel taxiway as the small aircraft Y went around us. I called the tower controller on the telephone when we got to the gate to inquire if a hazard report was being filed as the small aircraft Y had to take evasive action to avoid a collision. He said no, but why had we not held short of the parallel as requested? I said, first we executed the immediate high-speed turnoff as requested and neither the copilot nor myself heard the 'hold short of the parallel instruction' nor a traffic advisory for an small aircraft taxiing that we were to yield to. He told me not to accept a handoff instruction if we couldn't stop on the high-speed which I said I would never do again. I asked him to pass along our apologies to the small aircraft Y.

Title: ACR MLG MAKING HIGH SPEED EXIT ON C5 AT PHX AS PER LCL CTLR REQUEST ALMOST COMES TOGETHER WITH SMA Y ON PARALLEL TXWY.
Narrative: FLT FROM MCI-PHX, COPLT WAS ON LNDG ROLLOUT WHEN TWR CALLED UP AND ASKED US TO MAKE NEXT AVAILABLE TURNOFF AT C-5 ON RWY 26L. WE WERE 80 KIAS INDICATED WHEN I EXITED THE HIGH-SPEED TURNOFF AS REQUESTED. AS THE COPLT SWITCHED OVER TO GND, THE GND CTLR WAS ISSUING AN IMMEDIATE RIGHT TURN TO AVOID THE MLG X. MY COPLT HOLLERED 'WATCH OUT', AS HE APPLIED FULL BRAKING WITH ME. OUR AIRPLANE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP ON THE TAXI LINE OF THE PARALLEL TXWY AS THE SMA Y WENT AROUND US. I CALLED THE TWR CTLR ON THE TELEPHONE WHEN WE GOT TO THE GATE TO INQUIRE IF A HAZARD REPORT WAS BEING FILED AS THE SMA Y HAD TO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID A COLLISION. HE SAID NO, BUT WHY HAD WE NOT HELD SHORT OF THE PARALLEL AS REQUESTED? I SAID, FIRST WE EXECUTED THE IMMEDIATE HIGH-SPEED TURNOFF AS REQUESTED AND NEITHER THE COPLT NOR MYSELF HEARD THE 'HOLD SHORT OF THE PARALLEL INSTRUCTION' NOR A TFC ADVISORY FOR AN SMA TAXIING THAT WE WERE TO YIELD TO. HE TOLD ME NOT TO ACCEPT A HANDOFF INSTRUCTION IF WE COULDN'T STOP ON THE HIGH-SPEED WHICH I SAID I WOULD NEVER DO AGAIN. I ASKED HIM TO PASS ALONG OUR APOLOGIES TO THE SMA Y.
