Narrative:
I am a new PIC still on high mins and the first officer had only been here for a few months. Landing in lax off the the sadde 6 arrival to runway 24R; we were abeam the FAF of jetsa and were cleared for the approach. We were high and fast. The result was unstable at 1000 feet and we went around. On the go around we were task saturated and were vectored by ATC into traffic. This vector resulted in a TA/RA which I complied with. After complying with the RA we continued setting up for the approach. ATC told us to expect a 10 mile final; which would have been plenty of time to set up; shortly after that they cleared us for the visual and gave a heading that was inside the FAF of 6 miles. We were not configured; and task saturated again; overshot the localizer and got low on the glide slope. We went around again. We were re-vectored around and landed.I should have not accepted either clearance and continued the downwind to give more time to set up. ATC in lax often keeps us high and fast on that arrival; they could do a better job. Also; they should not have given us vectors and an altitude that put us into traffic.

Title: EMB-175 Captain reported that unstable approaches and less than helpful ATC handling resulted in two go-arounds at LAX.
