Narrative:
We were being vectored to the ILS runway 10R final approach course at cmh from the northwest. The approach controller turned us to a heading of 100 degree and cleared us for the ILS approach. Because of a swing we did not intercept the ILS final approach prior to the outer marker and the controller would not give us a larger intercept heading even though we asked for it. The controller cancelled our ILS clearance and then issued us an ASR approach, followed by a visibility approach. We landed west/O further incident.

Title: ATC TRACON VECTOR INADEQUATE FOR ILS COURSE INTERCEPT.
Narrative: WE WERE BEING VECTORED TO THE ILS RWY 10R FINAL APCH COURSE AT CMH FROM THE NW. THE APCH CTLR TURNED US TO A HDG OF 100 DEG AND CLRED US FOR THE ILS APCH. BECAUSE OF A SWING WE DID NOT INTERCEPT THE ILS FINAL APCH PRIOR TO THE OUTER MARKER AND THE CTLR WOULD NOT GIVE US A LARGER INTERCEPT HDG EVEN THOUGH WE ASKED FOR IT. THE CTLR CANCELLED OUR ILS CLRNC AND THEN ISSUED US AN ASR APCH, FOLLOWED BY A VIS APCH. WE LANDED W/O FURTHER INCIDENT.
