Narrative:

After starting the engines, I performed the before taxi checklist, while the first officer asked for and received the IFR clearance and taxi instructions. Upon completing the checklist I started taxiing, I had heard 'taxi to runway 23 intersection B' as part of the taxi instructions. At this point the first officer started doing the taxi checklist. We were crossing runway 19 when ground control informed us that runway 19 was an active runway and that we were cleared to 'hold short of runway 19'. At this point the first officer told me we had been cleared to taxi up to runway 19 but hold short, I had not heard this before. I realize as PIC I am responsible for all phases of the operations.

Title: CPR PLT CROSSES ANOTHER ACTIVE RWY ON TAXIING TO ASSIGNED RWY.

Narrative: AFTER STARTING THE ENGS, I PERFORMED THE BEFORE TAXI CHKLIST, WHILE THE F/O ASKED FOR AND RECEIVED THE IFR CLRNC AND TAXI INSTRUCTIONS. UPON COMPLETING THE CHKLIST I STARTED TAXIING, I HAD HEARD 'TAXI TO RWY 23 INTXN B' AS PART OF THE TAXI INSTRUCTIONS. AT THIS POINT THE F/O STARTED DOING THE TAXI CHKLIST. WE WERE XING RWY 19 WHEN GND CTL INFORMED US THAT RWY 19 WAS AN ACTIVE RWY AND THAT WE WERE CLRED TO 'HOLD SHORT OF RWY 19'. AT THIS POINT THE F/O TOLD ME WE HAD BEEN CLRED TO TAXI UP TO RWY 19 BUT HOLD SHORT, I HAD NOT HEARD THIS BEFORE. I REALIZE AS PIC I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL PHASES OF THE OPS.
