Narrative:
I made a radio call on the unicom 122.7 that I was on taxi from the ramp to runway 4. Did not hear anyone on the frequency so I continued my taxi to runway 4. Prior to arriving to runway 4; I made another call that I was going to line up for departure on runway 4. At this time I heard a radio call that someone just landed on 22; I looked towards the runway and there was a twin on roll out. I gave way so that the aircraft could taxi by me.it could be that the landing aircraft made a call prior to me turning on the radio and I did not hear any transmission. The winds were not prevailing for any particular runway and traffic had used both 4 and 22 while I was at avx. Runway 4 is down sloping so I used that runway to assist in the ground roll. There is a hump in this runway and you cannot see the opposite ends. I did make the call that I was going to use runway 4 and got no feed back.in the future I will wait longer after I make my call before I start rolling towards the runway. I will also look at the pattern while walking to the aircraft; to determine who is in the pattern and what direction they are going.
