Narrative:
Socal gave us 7000 feet and cleared for the RNAV visual runway 31L. With auto pilot on the captain started his decent after sbono. Between sbono and wemir at about 6400 feet we received a terrain warning terrain; terrain. Captain applied procedure until clear of conflict. The warning lasted only for about one second. The aircraft was above crossing altitude at all times but one thing I noticed was the RNAV visual approach (brick) was below the crossing altitudes. The captain hand flew the approach after the warning.
