Narrative:
MTR X on ILS on VFR conditions for runway 32 at buckley was cleared for missed approach right turn 120 degrees climb and maintain 8000'. Buckley tower instructed MTR X to complete right turn within 1 1/2 mi off departure end of runway 32. Buckley tower approved touch and go for MTR X and did not advise den approach. MTR X missed at buckley, went approximately 6 mi north of buckley through runway 26 localizer to den. Den approach buckley tower LOA states buckley tower shall obtain approval from den tower for any IFR arrival that request other than the previously coordinated type landing, and instruct runway 32 departure to complete turnout within 2 mi of the departure end of the runway. MTR X went 6 mi north of buckley and turned east just north of runway 26 localizer to den between air carrier medium large transport and air carrier large transport on approach to runway 26L and runway 26R at den. This error would not have occurred had: buckley tower complied with LOA and if MTR X had complied with buckley tower instructions. Correction: practice approachs at buckley should not be authority/authorized due to the proximity of den and centennial airport.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: MIL MTR DID NOT COMPLY WITH ATC INSTRUCTIONS AND CAME IN CLOSE PROX TO 2 ACR'S LNDG AT AN ADJACENT ARPT.
Narrative: MTR X ON ILS ON VFR CONDITIONS FOR RWY 32 AT BUCKLEY WAS CLRED FOR MISSED APCH RIGHT TURN 120 DEGS CLB AND MAINTAIN 8000'. BUCKLEY TWR INSTRUCTED MTR X TO COMPLETE RIGHT TURN WITHIN 1 1/2 MI OFF DEP END OF RWY 32. BUCKLEY TWR APPROVED TOUCH AND GO FOR MTR X AND DID NOT ADVISE DEN APCH. MTR X MISSED AT BUCKLEY, WENT APPROX 6 MI N OF BUCKLEY THROUGH RWY 26 LOC TO DEN. DEN APCH BUCKLEY TWR LOA STATES BUCKLEY TWR SHALL OBTAIN APPROVAL FROM DEN TWR FOR ANY IFR ARR THAT REQUEST OTHER THAN THE PREVIOUSLY COORDINATED TYPE LNDG, AND INSTRUCT RWY 32 DEP TO COMPLETE TURNOUT WITHIN 2 MI OF THE DEP END OF THE RWY. MTR X WENT 6 MI N OF BUCKLEY AND TURNED E JUST N OF RWY 26 LOC TO DEN BTWN ACR MLG AND ACR LGT ON APCH TO RWY 26L AND RWY 26R AT DEN. THIS ERROR WOULD NOT HAVE OCCURRED HAD: BUCKLEY TWR COMPLIED WITH LOA AND IF MTR X HAD COMPLIED WITH BUCKLEY TWR INSTRUCTIONS. CORRECTION: PRACTICE APCHS AT BUCKLEY SHOULD NOT BE AUTH DUE TO THE PROX OF DEN AND CENTENNIAL ARPT.
