Narrative:
On approach into denver stapleton there were several runway changes which caused me to be vectored on and off approach several times. I was finally issued a WX report of 6000+ RVR runway 35R and given vectors to the ILS runway 35R, denver stapleton. In the confusion I inadvertently opened my nos approach chart book to denver centennial 35R and proceeded to tune and identify the frequencys for the approach. Approach notified me that I was flying through the course when my indications were conflicting. He then vectored me off the approach and back on. By this time I knew something was wrong and by reviewing the approach plate carefully noticed my error. I found the correct approach plate and proceeded for vectors back to the approach for the third time. The approach was then successfully completed. Pilot workload and inattentiveness on my part initiated the error. Another factor that contributed was the fact that I had never been into denver before and was not familiar with the frequencys and airports in the vicinity of denver stapleton.

Title: PLT OF SMT FREIGHTER IN HEAVY WX AT NIGHT MADE TWO ATTEMPTS TO APCH ILS 35 AT DEN USING APA ILS 35 CHART. CORRECTED ERROR AND WITH RADAR VECTORS SUCCESSFULLY APCHED AND LANDED DEN.
Narrative: ON APCH INTO DENVER STAPLETON THERE WERE SEVERAL RWY CHANGES WHICH CAUSED ME TO BE VECTORED ON AND OFF APCH SEVERAL TIMES. I WAS FINALLY ISSUED A WX REPORT OF 6000+ RVR RWY 35R AND GIVEN VECTORS TO THE ILS RWY 35R, DENVER STAPLETON. IN THE CONFUSION I INADVERTENTLY OPENED MY NOS APCH CHART BOOK TO DENVER CENTENNIAL 35R AND PROCEEDED TO TUNE AND IDENTIFY THE FREQS FOR THE APCH. APCH NOTIFIED ME THAT I WAS FLYING THROUGH THE COURSE WHEN MY INDICATIONS WERE CONFLICTING. HE THEN VECTORED ME OFF THE APCH AND BACK ON. BY THIS TIME I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG AND BY REVIEWING THE APCH PLATE CAREFULLY NOTICED MY ERROR. I FOUND THE CORRECT APCH PLATE AND PROCEEDED FOR VECTORS BACK TO THE APCH FOR THE THIRD TIME. THE APCH WAS THEN SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED. PLT WORKLOAD AND INATTENTIVENESS ON MY PART INITIATED THE ERROR. ANOTHER FACTOR THAT CONTRIBUTED WAS THE FACT THAT I HAD NEVER BEEN INTO DENVER BEFORE AND WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE FREQS AND ARPTS IN THE VICINITY OF DENVER STAPLETON.
