Narrative:
On taxi out the #2 engine felt/sounded like it entered reverse. I was moving the power levers at the time; and just assumed that I pulled the power levers to disc a little too hard. The engine returned to normal within a second or two. While in cruise the #2 engine torque momentarily surged from 100% to around 115% then back to the original 100%. I asked the first officer if he had bumped the power levers; and he did not. At this point the engine was running fine; so we called dispatch and informed them of the write up on our arrival.ten to fifteen minutes later the engine surged again; this time we informed ATC and asked for priority. The engine was still producing power so we decided not to shut it down. The engine surged 2 more time on us while on the approach. We landed without incident and started taxing to gate. While on the taxi the #2 engine surged again; this time the torque reached 139%. We shut the engine down on the taxi and continued to the gate single engine.
