Narrative:
Dtw was having a snow event. ATC assigned and we accepted 21L. Braking action 3;3;3. On 8 mile final the first officer (first officer) as flying pilot asked to switch and have me land. He had to urinate so badly he could not concentrate.we landed and the deceleration seemed slow. I interpreted that we had minimal braking. ATC asked us to turn off at taxiway T. We were unable as the wheels did not have enough traction to make the turn. We asked for and received clearance to exit on 27L.27L was snow covered and may have been on the list as unusable as per snow removal perspective. We needed it to make a safe turnoff. Needless to say; when we were clear of 21L on 27L; we stopped and the first officer went to the restroom.snow crew cleared off T6 at our request and we taxied to the gate uneventfully.I think ATC and snow crew needed to coordinate better as not 15 mins after our landing another aircraft slid onto the grass while turning near 21L and T. ATC should have been more proactive in asking us why we could not turn off. We should have volunteered more information as well.
