Narrative:

Student pilot solo traffic pattern; practicing landings and touch and go's. Wind was runway direction of 070~080 with moderate strong of 10+/- knots. I was able to climb with good performance; then I was told to make right downwind for runway 6R traffic pattern.each touch and go's happened quickly; each 6~ 8 minutes and it was shorter than usual 10 minutes; if weather was calm.once I was doing left 360 on right downwind to keep space from other landing traffic. And also; there was an airliner boeing doing traffic pattern on runway 6L. Unlike other ATC official; he was giving me chance to practice touch and go's on runway 6R; as long as safety is not compromised. (By setting enough time and distance apart)starting on 4th; and 5th landing; there was cloud level as low as 1400 feet and I was intentionally turning other lights and flying at 1100~1200 (8~900 AGL) MSL so I can keep distance from cloud and have this plane visible.I did 6 touch and go's then full stop. The last touch I was instructed to do 'low approach' and 2nd to touch and go's on runway 6R; following other cessna.for 6th; passing mid-field; I requested touch and go. He instructed me as 2nd; and runway 6 right following cessna on final approach. I was already at 1100 feet MSL. [I] extended downwind; until I passed him over the window (parallel; he's on final; I'm downwind).when I was on downwind; I thought he had given me clear to touch and go on 6R; after the landing cessna. But I could be wrong. I remember he confirmed with me; as I turn into base. There was 2 way communication about 'low approach' I read back; aircraft X low approach to 6R.here problem was that I had wrong understanding of low approach. I thought as short approach was immediate (or expedited approach to runway for touch and go's); I assume low approach was coming to land/touch and go; with lower than usual altitude. I was in hurry to end this session of flying because more cloud with possibly lower ceiling and precipitation was coming.then; in final 1 mile. I was coming lower than 3 degree approach angle. Once I was passing number mark 6R; I only had capacity to fly and land the cessna for touch and go. Which was result of wrong conception. Because I was coming low; I was doing slow flight and slow descend as 100 feet per minute by the time passing the displaced threshold.ATC tower called me several time; prior to or after I did the touch and go's. I was overloaded with uncertainty that I might be doing wrong procedures. Then; I could not reply back to tower until 10 seconds. I could not stop on the runway. After regaining climbing attitude I reached tower 'aircraft X' it was unauthorized landing. I was notified I failed to follow the ATC direction and it was deviation.after I came back to land and talk to CFI; I understand low approach was 'not landing' and simulating landing procedures.there were 2 major mistakes. First; I did not clarify the instruction which I am not familiar with 'low approach.' secondly; I failed to keep 2 way radio communication and follow ATC direction at airport facility.I am sorry and acknowledge that those 2 [mistakes] and any similar case; such action can lead to major incident; endangering people's life and property. I will clarify and have correct procedure for each part of flight and develop clear understanding of aviation guidelines and regulations.I am sorry for mishap I caused and do my best not to repeat in future.

Title: C172 Student pilot reported becoming confused by a Tower instruction to make a low approach while practicing touch and go landings in the pattern. The student made a flatter than normal (low) approach and touch and go; and did not acknowledge calls from the Tower until safely airborne.
