Narrative:
While landing and correcting for a 8 knot wind 50 degrees off runway heading; after touchdown; the left gear went off of the runway causing the plane to yaw significantly to the left. This was a result of the crosswind and landing on the leftmost portion of a narrow runway. The yawing to the left was enhanced by the disparity of the surfaces in contact with the left and right wheels; the right to left crosswind; and a downward gradient of the ground off the left edge of the runway. Touchdown speed was very near 60 mph. At lower speed; perhaps as fast as 20 mph; having been unable to negotiate the plane back onto the runway in time; the left wing struck vegetation near the edge of the runway; causing the plane to be torqued completely run off of the runway. The only damage to the plane exists on the left wing at the point of impact. No other damage to the aircraft; property; airport facility; or other objects have been identified. No injuries of any kind have been sustained.

Title: C172 pilot reported departing the runway upon landing in crosswind conditions. Some damage to the aircraft was sustained by contacting vegetation near the runway.
