Narrative:
Started our descent on the BLUZZ1 with runway 36R programmed. Approximately 5 miles from clark; which has a speed restriction of 210 KIAS; the controller told us to delete altitudes; descend to 3000 feet; and plan runway 36C. The captain immediately started programming the FMC and completed the transition right over clark. Since clark never reappeared we failed to slow from 240 to 210. We realized our error within 1-2 miles of clark and immediately slowed to 210 KIAS without incident.too much focus on reprogramming FMC caused speed deviation. Wait until end of STAR to change runways.
Original NASA ASRS Text
