Narrative:
While [working] on the right wing anti ice valve; the large man lift was positioned between the right main gear and the right engine exhaust nozzle. After raising the lift to access one of the cannon plugs; we needed to raise the lift higher to access the second plug. While raising the lift and watching clearance between the lift and engine the light bracket on the left rear corner of the lift contacted the right wing inboard fixed flap fairing causing a 1'x1' puncture hole. Puncture hole was within srm (structural repair manual) limits and placed on deferral.
