Narrative:
While practicing a short field landing the left main tire struck a threshold light at the edge of the runway. I was too low and struck the light during my round out. I should have anticipated the loss of lift as winds at 100 feet aloft were much stronger than the surface winds. There was no damage to the plane. The threshold light was damaged beyond repair.
