Narrative:
#1 navigation radio would not tune to selected ILS frequency. Msp ILS frequency 110.3 was tuned to manual side. When manual was selected the navigation radio still indicated 110.3 but an incorrect identification was received (fairfield VOR I recall) and localizer and glide slope deviation dots did not appear on the east ADI. Frequency and automatic/manual were cycled numerous times. After at least 6 cycles of frequency retuning, proper identify and indications were received. This all occurred at a very busy and critical phase of flight. (Lowering landing gear, extending flaps, final checklist, changing to tower, etc).

Title: ACR MLG EXPERIENCES NAVIGATION RADIO TUNING DIFFICULTIES.
Narrative: #1 NAV RADIO WOULD NOT TUNE TO SELECTED ILS FREQ. MSP ILS FREQ 110.3 WAS TUNED TO MANUAL SIDE. WHEN MANUAL WAS SELECTED THE NAV RADIO STILL INDICATED 110.3 BUT AN INCORRECT IDENTIFICATION WAS RECEIVED (FAIRFIELD VOR I RECALL) AND LOC AND GLIDE SLOPE DEVIATION DOTS DID NOT APPEAR ON THE E ADI. FREQ AND AUTO/MANUAL WERE CYCLED NUMEROUS TIMES. AFTER AT LEAST 6 CYCLES OF FREQ RETUNING, PROPER IDENT AND INDICATIONS WERE RECEIVED. THIS ALL OCCURRED AT A VERY BUSY AND CRITICAL PHASE OF FLT. (LOWERING LNDG GEAR, EXTENDING FLAPS, FINAL CHECKLIST, CHANGING TO TWR, ETC).
