Narrative:
While en route to mid valley airpark (E98), I was attempting to track outbnd from corona VOR on the 256 degree right abq approach. Indicated that socorro was clear. Abq was 300' with rain. Approximately 35 mi outbnd from corona, and just north of R-5107 C and H, I encountered IFR conditions to the north. This cloud bank was rapidly moving south. Conditions behind me were deteriorating rapidly too. The only (safe?) direction was southwest. I elected to fly 245 degree to avoid WX, however, this placed me in restr airspace for about 25 mi. I don't know what I would recommend to avoid this problem since the planned route was VFR upon initial observation but changed. I was trapped between WX to the north and restr airspace to the south. Another aircraft attempting to use the same route requested clearance to cross the restr zone from ATC and was denied clearance. This occurred while I was already committed to my course. The only solution I can see, would have been to be allowed to cross over the restr zone. I felt the safety of me and my passengers was at risk unless I maintained VFR conditions. ATC seemed more interested in keeping me out of restr airspace than keeping me alive.

Title: SMA PLT ENTERS RESTRICTED AREA TO AVOID WX.
Narrative: WHILE ENRTE TO MID VALLEY AIRPARK (E98), I WAS ATTEMPTING TO TRACK OUTBND FROM CORONA VOR ON THE 256 DEG R ABQ APCH. INDICATED THAT SOCORRO WAS CLR. ABQ WAS 300' WITH RAIN. APPROX 35 MI OUTBND FROM CORONA, AND JUST N OF R-5107 C AND H, I ENCOUNTERED IFR CONDITIONS TO THE N. THIS CLOUD BANK WAS RAPIDLY MOVING S. CONDITIONS BEHIND ME WERE DETERIORATING RAPIDLY TOO. THE ONLY (SAFE?) DIRECTION WAS SW. I ELECTED TO FLY 245 DEG TO AVOID WX, HOWEVER, THIS PLACED ME IN RESTR AIRSPACE FOR ABOUT 25 MI. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD RECOMMEND TO AVOID THIS PROB SINCE THE PLANNED RTE WAS VFR UPON INITIAL OBSERVATION BUT CHANGED. I WAS TRAPPED BTWN WX TO THE N AND RESTR AIRSPACE TO THE S. ANOTHER ACFT ATTEMPTING TO USE THE SAME RTE REQUESTED CLRNC TO CROSS THE RESTR ZONE FROM ATC AND WAS DENIED CLRNC. THIS OCCURRED WHILE I WAS ALREADY COMMITTED TO MY COURSE. THE ONLY SOLUTION I CAN SEE, WOULD HAVE BEEN TO BE ALLOWED TO CROSS OVER THE RESTR ZONE. I FELT THE SAFETY OF ME AND MY PAXS WAS AT RISK UNLESS I MAINTAINED VFR CONDITIONS. ATC SEEMED MORE INTERESTED IN KEEPING ME OUT OF RESTR AIRSPACE THAN KEEPING ME ALIVE.
