Narrative:

After landing at sba, tower cleared us to 'taxi via the parallel taxiway and hold short of runways 15L and 15R remain this frequency.' as PNF read back the clearance, assuming the first officer had heard the clearance. I then accomplished the after landing checklist with the first officer. Once finished I began the passenger briefing. Informing the passenger to remain seated with seatbelts fastened, etc. When I said 'welcome to orange county,' the first officer corrected me stating 'santa barbara.' as I continued with the briefing, I looked up and noticed the first officer proceeding onto runway 15L. I stopped the brief and applied the brakes. Tower then said, 'you have just taxied onto runway 15L, continue forward and taxi to the gate.'

Narrative: AFTER LNDG AT SBA, TWR CLRED US TO 'TAXI VIA THE PARALLEL TXWY AND HOLD SHORT OF RWYS 15L AND 15R REMAIN THIS FREQ.' AS PNF READ BACK THE CLRNC, ASSUMING THE F/O HAD HEARD THE CLRNC. I THEN ACCOMPLISHED THE AFTER LNDG CHKLIST WITH THE F/O. ONCE FINISHED I BEGAN THE PAX BRIEFING. INFORMING THE PAX TO REMAIN SEATED WITH SEATBELTS FASTENED, ETC. WHEN I SAID 'WELCOME TO ORANGE COUNTY,' THE F/O CORRECTED ME STATING 'SANTA BARBARA.' AS I CONTINUED WITH THE BRIEFING, I LOOKED UP AND NOTICED THE F/O PROCEEDING ONTO RWY 15L. I STOPPED THE BRIEF AND APPLIED THE BRAKES. TWR THEN SAID, 'YOU HAVE JUST TAXIED ONTO RWY 15L, CONTINUE FORWARD AND TAXI TO THE GATE.'
