Narrative:
East of oak on a vector cleared for the visibility runway 29, copilot flying. At 4000' cleared to descend no lower than 3000' until west of 100 degree right off oak. Copilot called field in sight and started right turn to final. As we rolled wings level on final I realized he was lining up on alameda NAS. At 1800' I took the aircraft and made a right turn to remain in oak air traffic area. Tower called and advised a climb to 3000' for right traffic runway 29. Uneventful approach and landing. No known traffic conflicts.
